About BrightMinds
BrightMinds was created with one simple belief: every child deserves to learn in a way that feels safe, joyful and built just for them. We design free educational quiz games and brain development activities specifically for children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, speech delay and other learning differences, for ages 3 to 14.
Why we built BrightMinds
Most educational apps are built for neurotypical children first, with accessibility features added as an afterthought. We flipped that approach. Every decision in BrightMinds β from the size of the tap targets to the absence of timers and the calm colour palette β was made with special needs children as the primary audience, not an edge case.
We believe learning tools should never punish a child for being slower, different, or needing more time. That is why BrightMinds has no countdown clocks, no failure screens, and no penalty for wrong answers. Every attempt is met with encouragement.
What makes BrightMinds different
- Text-to-speech on every question β children who struggle with reading can have any question read aloud with a single tap.
- Adaptive difficulty β four levels (Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced) automatically match a child’s age and ability.
- A dedicated accessibility bar β dyslexia-friendly fonts, a low-stimulation calm mode, and a text magnifier are available on every page.
- Four brain development games β Memory Match, Pattern Puzzles, Word Builder and Sound Match, each targeting a different cognitive skill.
- A free parent dashboard β track progress over time without any subscription or paywall.
- Completely free β no account is required to start playing, and there is no cost, ever.
Our approach to safety
BrightMinds collects no personal information about children. There are no chat features, no social sharing, no third-party trackers embedded in the gameplay, and no in-app purchases. Parents who choose to create a free account only provide what is needed to track progress β nothing more.
